Consumption of Caviar
Products of Caviar Danubius are lightly salted (malossol). Experts appreciate the flavor ofcaviars made in this way higher than that of other preservation processes.
Before consumption, keep the caviar at room temperature at least for 10 – 15 minutes; however, open the box only in the last moment in order to expose the caviar to the air for the shortest period of time.
The caviar should be served in caviar dish whose lower part is continuously being cooled by ice. It is recommended to have it possibly without accompaniments; however, you may eat it with toast, boiled eggs, lemon juiceand onion and also some sour cream – the key point is not to suppress the characteristic taste of the caviar in any way.
Since the caviar easily reacts with metals, it is traditionally consumed with spoon made from bone, gold or mother-of pearl. Of the quality drinks, experts recommend to have champagne or vodka with it. Caviar hardly endures heat-treatment; therefore, it may be added to dishes only in the last moment, right before serving.
